Welcome to our humble little piece of the interwebs my friends! Here's the scoop on how this little blog came to be...
If you don't know by now, we're expecting our first baby (or cheeseburger as I lovingly call my baby bump!) in May 2013.
We were talking one day about the best way to document this experience and we tossed out ideas like getting a video camera, keeping a journal or keeping on top of photographs. The problem is, I have a horrible memory. I can look at pictures and remember glimpses of that day and snippets of feelings that surrounded me, but my memories really lack the real depth of the experience and it's something I would like to overcome.
We thought by having a blog and as a result a community of friends and family to answer to, it would force us to not only be accountable for documenting our experiences, but also describing our experiences and documenting them in a way we can always remember.
Another reason is we would love it if all of our friends and family lived in our city (our neighbourhood even!) but we are granted only so many fortunes in life and that is not one of them. But, we still want you to feel as close as possible to us and that's what the Internet is for (not just wasting time watching silly cat videos on YouTube while you're supposed to be working...ahem, Aisling...). We wanted a place for our friends and family to stay connected to us and the little "cheeseburger" and we'll try our best to keep you informed of the happenings not only throughout the pregnancy, but after we enter into this little adventure called parenthood. We'll be posting as many videos and pictures as we can, telling funny stories and experiencing the highs and lows with you, so follow along if you can keep up in Our World of Miniature Mayhem!
